Matt was born in the great state of Texas.  Grew up an “army brat” and was fortunate to travel extensively growing up but got back to Texas as soon as he could!  Grew up and went to high school and college in Temple Texas  and currently resides in Longview.  Matt was educated as a respiratory therapist and for the better part of 15 years worked heavily in neonatal, pediatric, and adult critical care areas.  He spent his clinical career first at Parkland hospital in dallas, Schumpert  hospital in shreveport, then finishing his clinical career at both Good Shepherd and Longview Regional hospitals.   He began his career in homecare sales in 2008 with a company based in Texas and within one year became the top producing sales rep in the company.  After meeting and becoming close friends with the owner of Pine Tree Home Health, he joined the team in 2010 and enjoyed his partnership with Pine Tree very much.  In 2018 he joined the Choice family as Regional Vice President of Sales and is now involved regionally in business development for both home health as well as hospice and leads a team of dynamic, driven individuals throughout east and southeast Texas.  He has found great passion in being a part of an ever expanding company that is focused on taking care of patients in the home and doing so with the utmost integrity and compassion.  He currently serves as board chair for a local FQHC called Wellness Pointe and enjoys the mission and purpose of ensuring quality healthcare for the less for the  underserved in his community very much.   He spends his spare time playing the drums for a popular local band and the occasional round of golf.  Matt is an avid “griller” and enjoys nothing more than a pretty evening hovering over the grill with a nice glass of wine and the occasional cigar with his fiancé , family, and friends.
